The House of Representatives ratified five international instruments on Monday, January 24, 2022, by unanimity of votes. The ratification took place during a plenary sitting chaired by Speaker of the House of Representatives Rachid Talbi El Alami in the presence of Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Moroccan Expatriates Nasser Bourita and Minister Delegate to the Head of Government in charge of Relations with the Parliament and the Government Spokesperson Mustapha Baitas.
The ratification covered two bilateral agreements with the Republics of Colombia and Hungary, one multilateral convention and one charter at the African level, and one protocol under the European level. The ratified instruments are:
- Government Bill 56.21 ratifying the agreement on air services between the Government of the Kingdom of Morocco and the Government of the Republic of Colombia, concluded in Rabat and Bogota on April 6, 2021;
- Government Bill 57.21 ratifying the agreement on mutual legal assistance in criminal matters between the Kingdom of Morocco and the Republic of Hungary, concluded in Rabat on June 9, 2021;
- Government Bill 73.21 ratifying the convention on the establishment of Africa Finance Corporation, adopted in Abuja (Nigeria) on May 28, 2007;
- Government Bill 77.21 ratifying the Charter for African Cultural Renaissance, adopted at the 6th assembly of the Heads of States and Governments of the African Union in Khartoum (Sudan) on January 24, 2006;
- Government Bill 53.21 ratifying the protocol amending the Council of Europe’s Convention for the Protection of Individuals with regard to Automatic Processing of Personal Data, signed in Strasbourg on October 10, 2018.
