At the start of the meeting, the Speaker of the Libyan House of Representatives lauded the efforts of His Majesty King Mohammed VI to reconcile points of view of Libyans and resolve the Libyan crisis. In this respect, he said, "We extend our heartfelt gratitude to His Majesty the King, and we rely a lot on Morocco to find a quick solution to the Libyan Crisis." He also noted that the efforts of the Kingdom of Morocco to facilitate an agreement between Libyans on sovereign positions, and the ceasefire that followed it affirm the central role of the Kingdom, and “we will not dispense of Morocco."

In the same respect, he expressed the strong will to initiate the activity of the Morocco-Libya Parliamentary Friendship Group and to elevate the relations between the two legislative institutions towards further cooperation and solidarity.
