HIM Emperor Naruhito of Japan Receives Speaker of the House of Representatives

His Imperial Majesty Emperor Naruhito of Japan received on Monday, March 6, 2023, at the Imperial Palace, the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Hon. Rachid Talbi El Alami.

During the meeting, the Speaker of the House of Representatives expressed to His Imperial Majesty his gratitude and appreciation for the continuous support of Japan to the Kingdom of Morocco. In the same respect, he noted the strong and historical ties linking the two countries, adding that the Kingdom of Morocco, under the wise leadership of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, may God glorify him, aims to diversify its partners and share its experiences to serve humanity, contribute to its prosperity, consolidate global peace and security, and achieve development in all its dimensions.

On the same occasion, Hon. Talbi El Alami underscored the importance of joint parliamentary coordination and action, exchange of visits, and sharing experiences and expertise. In the same vein, he highlighted that his visit, alongside his entourage, to Japan intends to support the efforts of rapprochement, communication, and constant dialogue between the legislative institutions of the two countries to solidify bilateral and multilateral parliamentary cooperation and coordination.

For his part, His Imperial Majesty Emperor Naruhito noted that he visited the Kingdom of Morocco when he was a Crown Prince in 1991 alongside his father, Emperor Akihito, recalling his memories in Rabat, Casablanca, Marrakesh, and Fez. In the same respect, he commended the efforts of His Majesty King Mohammed VI in addressing climate change and promoting global peace and security.
