Chairperson of the Productive Sectors Committee Receives Delegation of Tourism Committee at German Bundestag

The Chairperson of the Productive Sectors Committee at the House of Representatives, Rep. Jamal Diwany, received on Tuesday, December 06, 2022, at the seat of the House, a delegation of the Tourism Committee at the German Bundestag, currently on a visit to the Kingdom of Morocco. The meeting featured the presence of Rep. Farida Khniti and Rep. Mimoune Amiri, members of the Committee.

The German parliamentary delegation, led by MP. Gülistan Yüksel (Social Democratic Party), includes MP. Stephan Zierke (Social Democratic Party), MP. Michael Donth (Parliamentary Group of the Christian Social Union and Christian Democratic Union), MP. Paul Lehrieder (Parliamentary Group of the Christian Social Union and Christian Democratic Union), MP. Stefan Schmidt (Alliance 90/The Greens), MP. Nico Tippelt (Free Democratic Party), MP. Mike Moncsek (Alternative for Germany), and Thoms Lutze (The Left)

The talks of the Chairperson of the Productive Sectors Committee with the German parliamentary delegation covered questions related to tourism. In this respect, Rep. Jamal Diwany gave an overview of the potential of our country in this vital sector, noting the importance of this meeting, which is an opportunity to discuss the means for facilitating and promoting investments in tourism in the Kingdom.

On the same occasion, Rep. Jamal Diwany called for consolidating cooperation between the Productive Sectors Committee of the House of Representatives and the Tourism Committee of the German Bundestag through the exchange of visits and expertise. Besides, he noted the high Royal will of His Majesty King Mohammed VI to put partnership and good-neighboring principles with the European partner as a priority in the Kingdom's foreign policy.

For her part, the Head of the German parliamentary delegation underscored the importance of this visit, adding that it will contribute to the reinforcement of cooperation ties between the two countries in tourism investment, given the potential of the Kingdom, which makes it a prominent tourism destination.

In the same regard, the Head of the German parliamentary delegation welcomed the increase of cooperation and consultation between the legislative institutions of the Kingdom of Morocco and the Federal Republic of Germany.
