Chairperson of the Petitions Committee Holds Meeting with Representatives of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe on Wednesday, July 12, 2023

The Petitions Committee held a communication meeting on Wednesday, July 12, 2023, with representatives of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE). The meeting, presided by the Chairperson of the Petitions Committee, Rep. Khadija Ezzoumi, featured the participation of Ms. Louise Barton, the Head of the Committees Department at the PACE; Mr. Alessandro Mancini, PACE Representative; and Ms. Alessandra Siino, the Head Manager of the Project of “Support to the development of the role of the Parliament in consolidating democracy in Morocco,” at the PACE.

The meeting falls within the scope of the preparations of the Petitions Committee for its 2024 action plan and the implementation of the Project of “Support to the development of the role of the Parliament in consolidating democracy in Morocco (2020-2023),” funded by the European Union and put in place by the Council of Europe in partnership with the PACE.

The meeting covered several themes linked to the activities of the Petitions Committee and the means to implement the mechanisms of participatory democracy and encourage citizens to make initiatives in petitions and legislative motions.
