Chairperson of the Morocco-Jordan Parliamentary Friendship Group, Rep. Khadija Arouhal, received on Wednesday, March 6, 2024, at the Seat of the House, a delegation of the Legal Committee of the Jordanian House of Representatives, led by MP Haitham Alziadin.
At the onset of the meeting, attended by Group member Rep. Hind Bennani, the members of the Jordanian delegation underscored the importance of deepening relations between the two legislative institutions, reinforcing institutional cooperation, and exchanging experiences and expertise in all areas of mutual interest in a way that reflects the strong bonds linking the two countries and their brotherly peoples.
In the same respect, the Jordanian parliamentary delegation highlighted the promising opportunities for cooperation between the two countries in economy, tourism, higher education, and investment while noting that friendship groups are a bridge for communication and bringing views closer to address the common challenges.
For her part, Rep. Khadija Arouhal noted that the Kingdom of Morocco, under the enlightened leadership of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, may Allah glorify him, always puts the Palestinian cause at the same level as the cause of the Moroccan Sahara. She also added that the two countries face the same challenges related to migration and shed light in this regard on the national strategy for migration and asylum, which has enabled migrants in our country to integrate into the Moroccan social fabric.
The meeting was also an opportunity to exchange views on several questions of interest to the legislative institutions of the two countries.
The delegation of the Legal Committee of the Jordanian House of Representatives comprises MP Haitham Alziadin, head of the delegation, MP Mohammad Jaradat, MP Saleh Al Wikhyan, MP Ramzi Alajarmeh, MP Mohammad Al Helalat, MP Fayez Busbous, MP Suleiman Al Qallab, MP Habis Al Shabeeb, MP Aref Al Saaideh, and MP Mohammed Al-Emrayat.
