Chairperson of the Justice, Legislation, and Human Rights Committee of the House of Representatives Holds Talks with Delegation of the Legal Committee at the Jordanian House of Representatives

Chairperson of the Justice, Legislation, and Human Rights Committee of the House of Representatives, Rep. Said Serrar, held talks on Tuesday, March 5, 2024, at the Seat of the House in Rabat, with a delegation of the Legal Committee of the Jordanian House of Representatives, led by MP Haitham Alziadin.

During the meeting, the two parties discussed the Moroccan and Jordanian parliamentary experiences. In this respect, the Jordanian delegation expressed their desire to benefit from the Moroccan experience in conjunction with the new era and reforms the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan is witnessing.

On this occasion, Rep. Said Serrar and the Vice-Chairperson of the Committee, Rep. Loubna Sghiri, gave a detailed presentation on the work of the Justice, Legislation, and Human Rights Committee, its prerogatives, and the laws it contributed to producing, including ones related to the criminal and civil fields.

Besides, Rep. Said Serrar shed light on the expertise of the Kingdom of Morocco in multi-partyism, as the Kingdom knew political and partisan pluralism since its independence, conducted six constitutional reforms, and witnessed a significant evolution in the role of political parties in orienting citizens.

For their part, the Jordanian delegation praised the Moroccan experience in multi-partyism, considering it a way of anchoring the democratic choice and a model to follow.

The delegation of the Legal Committee of the Jordanian House of Representatives comprises MP Haitham Alziadin, head of the delegation, MP Mohammad Jaradat, MP Saleh Al Wikhyan, MP Ramzi Alajarmeh, MP Mohammad Al Helalat, MP Fayez Busbous, MP Suleiman Al Qallab, MP Habis Al Shabeeb, MP Aref Al Saaideh, and MP Mohammed Al-Emrayat.
