Chairperson of the Foreign Affairs, National Defense, Islamic Affairs, and Moroccan Expatriates Committee Receives Mr. Naser Khader, Member of the Foreign Affairs Committee at the Danish Parliament

Chairperson of the Foreign Affairs, National Defense, Islamic Affairs, and Moroccan Expatriates Committee at the House of Representatives, Rep. Nadia Bouaida received on Tuesday, October 11, 2022, Mr. Naser Khader, member of the Foreign Affairs Committee at the Danish Parliament, currently on a courtesy and work visit to the Kingdom of Morocco.

The talks between the two parties focused on the means to consolidate cooperation ties between the two Moroccan and Danish Committees. In this respect, Rep. Bouaida noted the importance of dialogue and joint action between the two legislative institutions through intensifying visits, opening communication canals, exchanging experiences, and advancing coordination and consultation in the various international parliamentary fora on the questions of mutual concern.

Concerning the cause of the Moroccan Sahara, Mr. Naser Khader underscored that the Kingdoms of Denmark and Morocco respect the principles of respecting the sovereignty and territorial integrity of countries, committing to international legality, and solving conflicts in peaceful manners. In the same respect, he noted that the best solution to the artificial conflict around Moroccan territorial integrity is the autonomy proposal under international legality.

The two parties also discussed the issues of migration and religious guidance of the Moroccan community abroad. In this context, Rep. Bouaida noted that the Kingdom of Morocco deploys major efforts in this regard, in reflection of the continuous care His Majesty King Mohammed VI attaches to the members of the Moroccan community abroad, in order to preserve and entrench their religious constants.
