Chairperson of the Foreign Affairs Committee, Rep. Nadia Bouaida, Holds Series of Talks at Romanian Parliament

Chairperson of the Foreign Affairs, National Defense, Islamic Affairs, and Moroccan Expatriates Committee, Rep. Nadia Bouaida, held a series of talks on Tuesday, December 12, 2023, in Bucharest, alongside Rep. Aicha El Gourgi and Rep. Rifaâ Maelainine, the members of the Committee's Bureau. The talks fall under the scope of the work visit of the delegation of the House of Representatives to the Romanian Parliament at the invitation of the Chairperson of the Foreign Affairs Committee, MP. Rozália Biró.

The visit kicked off with a meeting of Rep. Nadia Bouaida and MP. Rozália Biró. Attended by several members of the Romanian Foreign Affairs Committee, the meeting covered the means to consolidate cooperation between the two Committees and to open new horizons for cooperation between the two countries in several areas, particularly energy, education, culture, and tourism.

The meeting was also an opportunity to tackle other questions, such as the opportunities for investment in the Kingdom as established in the New Investment Charter. In this regard, the Moroccan parliamentary delegation highlighted the capacities of the Kingdom in this area.

The delegation also held talks with the Romanian Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs, Mr. Traian Laurențiu Hristea. The two parties commended the depth of bilateral ties linking the two countries and examined the prospects for reinforcing cooperation in all areas, particularly renewable energies, education, schooling, and culture. They also stressed the importance of exchanging bilateral visits by establishing concrete programs for cooperation.

During the same meeting, the Romanian Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs noted the important position the Kingdom of Morocco occupies as a key partner to Romania in Africa, given the stability and prosperous investment opportunities it enjoys, and as a key partner to Europe and a gate towards Africa.

The Ambassador of the Kingdom of Morocco to Bucharest, H.E. Hassan Abou Ayoub, attended the meetings.
