Board of House of Representatives Holds Weekly Meeting on Tuesday, July 14th, 2020

The Board of the House of Representatives held its weekly meeting on Tuesday, July 14^th, 2020, under the chairmanship of the House’s Speaker Habib El Malki. The meeting was devoted to matters relating to control and legislation.

As for parliamentary control, the House’s Board set the agenda of the monthly plenary sitting for questions on general policy to the Head of Government to tackle the topic of “public policies focused on youth in the light of coronavirus pandemic.” The sitting will be held on Monday, July 20^th, 2020.

As for legislation, the Board examined the legislative texts submitted by the Government or referred by the House of Councilors. It has then decided on referring them to the competent committees.

The Board also reviewed the list of Government and parliamentary bills under examination and the program of meetings of standing committees. Besides, the Board reviewed the report on the interim exploratory mission on the Kingdom’s consulates abroad, and the report of the Economic, Social, and Environmental Council on “Accelerating the Energy Transition to Put Morocco on the Green Development Track.”

At the end of the meeting, the Board reviewed a proposal to conclude a partnership and cooperation agreement with the National Commission for the Control of Personal Data Protection (CNDP).
