Seminar to Evaluate Laws by the Parliament – Law 103.13 on Combatting Violence against Women

The House of Representatives, the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe, and the University of Kiel for Applied Administrative Sciences, organize on October 26-28, in Farah Hotel in Rabat, a seminar on the evaluation by the Parliament of laws – the case of Law 103.13 on combatting violence against women, for the members and officers of the House of Representatives at the Moroccan Parliament.

In this respect, the House of Representatives launched several measures to evaluate laws and public policies since the start of the new 2021-2026 legislative term, especially Law 103.13 on combatting violence against women. The seminar will feature the presentation by academics, and Moroccan and European experts of several Moroccan and European experiences and challenges, with special focus on the evaluation of laws related on violence against women.

The seminar will be an opportunity for the participants and experts to discuss the international rules and criteria related to combatting violence against women, the methodology and indices of evaluating laws, and the elaboration of an action plan and the final report.

The seminar will feature the participation of the Chairperson and members of the Thematic Working Group in Charge of evaluating Law 103.13 on combatting violence against women at the House of Representatives, a representative of the EU Delegation in the Kingdom of Morocco, and the Head of the CoE’s Office in Rabat.

The seminar is part of the joint program of “Supporting the national mechanism of protection from torture in Morocco and advancing the role of the Parliament in consolidating democracy in Morocco 2020-2023,” financed by the European Union and implemented by the Council of Europe.
