Presentation of Four Parliamentary Bills and Discussion of a Theme on Wednesday, June 15, 2022

Meeting of the Social Sectors Committee on Wednesday, June 15, 2022, at 3:00 P.M. with the Minister of Health and Social Protection, to:

1)   Present the following parliamentary bills:

- Parliamentary bill on the performance of biomedical engineering and the creation of the National Order of Biomedical Engineers, proposed by the Group of Progress and Socialism;

- Parliamentary bill on the creation of the National Consultative Council for Health, proposed by the Haraki Group;

- Parliamentary bill amending and supplementing articles 2 and 26 of Framework Law 34.09 on the health system and treatment services, proposed by the Istiqlali Group of Unity and Egalitarianism;

- Parliamentary bill on the transparency of the relations between the institutions and firms that provide treatments, or produce or trade in pharmaceutical, biomedical, cosmetic or medical products with the professionals of the health sector and associations of patients, proposed by the Parliamentary Caucus of Justice and Development.

2) Discuss “the periodic assessment of the implementation of the social protection project and the Ministry’s plan to advance and reform the healthcare system in order to make the project successful, as well as the reality of the coverage of health services, their relation to the national reference tariff and their impact on ensuring the access of citizens to the various medical services), at the request of the Socialist Group, the Majority Groups, the Constitutional, Democratic and Social Group, and the Group of Progress and Socialism, whose members requested the presence of the Director General of the National Social Security Fund in the meeting.
