Standing Committees in the House of Representatives (2016-2021 Legislature)

The eighth section of the House’s Rules of Procedure (January 2017) defines the number of standing committees in the House of Representatives, their competences, and their formation.

Standing committees (Article 81) in the ongoing legislature are nine. Their chairpersons shall be elected at the beginning of the legislature and the April session of its third year.

 

Standing Committees in the House of Representatives (Chairpersons elected during a plenary session on January 17th, 2017):

 

1. Foreign Affairs, National Defense, Islamic Affairs, and Moroccan Expatriates Committee

2. Internal affairs, communes, Housing and Urban Policy Committee

3. Justice, Legislation and Human Rights Committee

4. Finance and Economic Development Committee

5. Social Sectors Committee

6. Productive Sectors Committee

7. Infrastructure, Energy, Mining and Environment Committee

8. Education, Culture and Communication Committee

9. Public Finance Control Committee
