Standing Committees (2011-2016)

The eighth section of the House’s Rules of Procedure (August 2013) defines the number of standing committees in the House of Representatives, their competences, and their formation.

Standing committees (Article 55) in the ongoing legislature are nine. Their chairpersons shall be elected at the beginning of the legislature and the April session of its third year. 

 

Standing Committees

1. Foreign Affairs, National Defense, Islamic Affairs, and Moroccan Expatriates Committee.

2. The Internal affairs, communes, Housing and Urban Policy Committee

3. The Justice, Legislation and Human Rights Committee

4. The Finance and Economic Development Committee

5. The Social Sectors Committee

6. The Productive Sectors Committee

7. The Infrastructure, Energy, Mining and Environment Committee

8. The Education, Culture and Communication Committee

9. The Public Finance Control Committee
