The Session focused on the following themes: supporting NATO’s ongoing transformation after the Washington Summit, firmly anchored in NATO’s shared democratic values, fully implemented and sustainably resourced; shaping the future of NATO’s and the Assembly’s partnerships; addressing climate change related and technological challenges; China’s challenge; and economic and security partnerships in Asia.

The proceedings of the Session also tackled the current challenges in the Western Balkans region, the strategies aimed at supporting partners and reinforcing relations with the countries of the South, the commitment of the NATO Parliamentary Assembly to support stability in areas of high strategic importance, and the strengthening of a broader dialogue on international questions.
