House of Representatives Adopts by Majority of Votes Finance Bill 60.24 for the 2025 Fiscal Year

The House of Representatives adopted on Friday, November 15, 2024, by a majority of votes Finance Bill 60.24 for the 2025 fiscal year. The adoption took place during a legislative plenary sitting chaired by the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Hon. Rachid Talbi El Alami, and attended by the Minister of Economy and Finance, Ms. Nadia Fettah Alaoui;  the Minister Delegate to the Minister of Economy and Finance in Charge of the Budget, Mr. Fouzi Lekjaa; as well as other ministers who interacted positively with the members of the House during the discussion of the Finance Bill.

During the sitting, 171 Representatives voted for the Bill, 56 rejected it, and one Representative abstained from voting.

The 2025 Finance Bill is based on the directives of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, may Allah assist him, focusing on pursuing the development progress, achieving social justice, promoting productive investment, and ensuring the sustainability of natural resources, primarily water.

The 2025 Finance Bill, which comes amidst a context marked with national and international economic challenges that require continuous structural reforms, aims to continue to reinforce public investments and stimulate economic dynamism while focusing on the consolidation of social protection projects and supporting the purchasing power of citizens. 

The 2025 Finance Bill will be referred to the House of Councilors within the scope of completing its adoption procedure by the Parliament.
