Launch of the National Prize for Studies and Research on Parliamentary Action in Its Fourth Edition

In accordance with the provisions of the Rules of Procedure of the House of Representatives and by way of appreciating and encouraging scientific research in the field of parliamentary action, the Speaker of the House of Representatives announces the launch of the National Prize for Studies and Research on Parliamentary Action in its fourth edition, to be awarded following the scientific conditions and criteria defined by the rules and regulations of this Prize.

The Prize is awarded annually for distinguished works that cover the Parliament’s prerogatives, particularly legislation, control of government action, public policy evaluation, parliamentary diplomacy, and all aspects of democratic practice and political development linked to parliamentary action.

The Prize is awarded for each research or study, whether published in book format or a defended university thesis, provided that the publication date of the book or defense of the thesis does not exceed two years (2023-2022).

The winner shall receive a certificate attesting to the category of the Prize and the sum of money specified in the rules and regulations governing this Prize. The House of Representatives will print any prize-winning works that have not been previously published, subject to copyright, under the legal provisions in force.

The individuals who wish to run for the Prize must submit the following:

-      All running scientific works, in the form of a printed and published book or a thesis prepared for publication, in six (6) paper copies attached to a legible and technically usable electronic medium;

-      A copy of the scientific and personal resume of the candidate;

-      A personal photo suitable for media use; and

-      Fill out the application form available on the official website of the House of Representatives and send it, together with a complete electronic copy of the application file, via e-mail to the address dedicated to the Prize: prixrecherche2024@parlement.ma

A jury shall be tasked with studying and assessing all the published scientific works and checking their compliance with the scientific and organizational conditions laid down in the rules and regulations of the National Prize for Studies and Research on Parliamentary Action.

Consequently, all eligible candidates must submit their scientific works from March 25 to April 26, 2024, in accordance with the conditions and criteria set out in the Prize’s rules and regulations.
