Upon Invitation of Moroccan Parliament, Members of Andean Parliament Visit Kingdom of Morocco

At the invitation of the Moroccan Parliament, members of the Andean Parliament are performing a visit to the Kingdom of Morocco, during which the General Assembly of the Parliament will be held in Laayoune. The visit, on July 1-9, 2022, will also feature meetings with Government officials and parliamentarians.

This visit is part of strengthening South-South Cooperation advocated by His Majesty King Mohammed VI, may God assist him. The visit also aims at consolidating the existing partnership between the Moroccan Parliament and the Andean Parliament, in addition to the consultation and exchange on several issues of mutual interest.

On this occasion, the Moroccan Parliament will organize the "Moroccan-Andean Community Parliamentary Forum", which will address two key issues, namely: "economic cooperation and commercial exchange," and "energy security."

This visit will also include the participation of members of the Andean Parliament in the activities of the International Conference on Food Security, to be held on July 7, 2022, in partnership with the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO).
