A parliamentary delegation performs exploratory visit to the southern zone of the Royal Armed Forces

Pursuant to Royal Instructions, His Majesty King Mohammed VI, Supreme Chief and Chief Of Staff of the Royal Armed Forces, a parliamentary delegation, paid a visit starting on Wednesday, March 05th, to the units of the Royal Armed Forces deployed in the southern zone of the Kingdom.

On this occasion, the parliamentary delegation, accompanied by the Minister Delegate to the Head of Government for National Defense Abdellatif Loudiyi, visited at Agadir, the command headquarters of the southern zone of the Royal Armed Forces.

In the same venue, the delegation, which includes 35 Deputies and Councillors, was received by the Inspector General of the Royal Armed Forces and commander of the southern zone Abdelfattah Louarak, who highlighted in a speech the efforts made by members of the Royal Armed Forces stationed in the southern provinces of the Kingdom, in the area of maintaining security and stability in the region.

The Inspector General of the Royal Armed forces stressed that this visit would enable the parliamentary delegation to keep abreast of the work conditions of Moroccan soldiers and their mission in defending the territorial integrity of the Kingdom.

On the same occasion, the parliamentary delegation followed a presentation on the tasks of the Royal Armed Forces units in the southern region, especially in the areas of training, maintenance, unit transportation, supply, and demining.

The presentation also highlighted the valuable and internationally acclaimed participation of the Royal Armed Forces in various peacekeeping missions under the auspices of the United Nations.

Moreover, the parliamentary delegation visited the first military Medical and Surgical Centre for the Royal Armed Forces in Agadir, in which explanations were made about its various facilities and the services it provides.

In the framework of this visit to the southern zone of the Royal Armed Forces, the parliamentary delegation visited the support point of the Smarah semi-military sector in the Frerinat region, located about 47 km from the city.

Officers of the Royal Armed Forces presented to the members of the delegation, explanations about the mission of this support point, as well as the means and equipment provided to it to defend the territorial integrity of the Kingdom.

The members of the parliamentary delegation were also briefed about the living conditions of the valiant and dedicated Royal Armed Forces troops in the service of sacred national causes, given that, the delegation also visited one of the tactical backup units for the infantry brigade.

In this regard, various members of the delegation praised the spirit of sacrifice that these soldiers are demonstrating and the dedication to protect the sovereignty of the Kingdom and to repel any attempt to undermine the Kingdom's territorial integrity.

Mr. Youssef El Gharbi, President of the Committee of Foreign Affairs, National Defense, Islamic Affairs, and Moroccan Expatriates in the House of Representatives, said that the parliamentary delegation paid a visit to the front and that the soldiers deployed are in good conditions and with high spirits and ready to sacrifice for the sake of the homeland, noting that "we are today in an honoring visit to the souls of those who sacrificed for the sake of the homeland, as well as to support and support the soldiers present in these lands. "

In a statement to the press on the sidelines of the visit, Mr. Gharbi highlighted that the city of Akadern had access to the equipment provided by the first military center of medicine and surgery for the Royal Armed Forces, noting the offer made to the delegation related to the activities of the Royal Armed Forces in the southern region.

For his part, Mr. Mohamed Al-Razma said that the visit was an occasion to highlight the role played by the soldiers stationed at the borders in order to protect the homeland, noting that the visit enabled the parliamentary delegation to see many facts on the ground.

The parliamentary delegation paid a visit the training center Aousard of the Ouad Eddahab sector for the Royal Armed Forces, where they provided explanations about its tasks, especially organizing joint training for the benefit of new recruits and ongoing training for Non-commissioned officers of the units of the military sector of Ouad Eddhab.
