The Moroccan delegation is taking part in this session as a partner for democracy. This status was granted to our country in 2011, which stands for the broader strategic and multidimensional partnership that links the Kingdom, as a pole of regional stability and a model of economic transition and sustainable development, to the various European and Euro-Mediterranean bodies.
After three evaluation phases in 2013, 2015 and 2019, and the PACE reports supporting the irreversible nature of Morocco’s rule of law and democratic renewal, the focus will now be on obtaining a more advanced status with the PACE, similar to the advanced status granted to the Kingdom of Morocco by the European Union in 2008.
