Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rep. Nadia Touhami is taking part in the proceedings of the Arab Forum for Sustainable Development AFSD-2023 on "Solutions and Action" on March 14-16, 2023, in Beirut, Lebanon, organized by the ESCWA in cooperation with the League of Arab States and the UN bodies operating in the Arab region.
The Forum will discuss several vital questions in preparation for the Sustainable Development Goals Summit in September 2023. The Forum will also feature the presentation of the Sustainable Development Goals, particularly the ones related to poverty, gender equality, unemployment, in the presence of several international experts in monitoring the implementation of the 2023 Sustainable Development Plan.
During her participation in plenary and closed sessions, Rep. Nadia Touhami shed light on the best practices adopted by the Kingdom of Morocco in the areas related to the Sustainable Development Goals, which aim to monitor the implementation of the Sustainable Development Plan.
It should be noted that the ESCWA was founded in 1973 to stimulate the economic activity of the Member States and consolidate cooperation, development, stability, and prosperity to achieve a better future for each human on the basis of a universal project founded on equality in rights, equal opportunities of decent living through adequate economic growth, social prosperity, and environmental sustainability.
