On the occasion of opening the first session of the fifth legislative year of the tenth legislature, His Majesty King Mohammed VI, may God assist him, will deliver, on Friday, a speech to the Parliament, announced on Wednesday the Ministry of the Royal Household, Protocol, and Chancellery in a statement as translated below:
“The Ministry of the Royal Household, Protocol, and Chancellery announces that on the occasion of opening the first session of the fifth legislative year of the tenth legislature, His Majesty King Mohammed VI, may God assist him, will deliver a speech to the Parliament on Friday, Safar Al Kheir 21st, 1442 Hijri corresponding to October 9th, 2020.
Considering the precautionary measures established by the public authorities upon the high Royal directives to contain the propagation of COVID-19, His Majesty the King will deliver the opening Speech from the Royal Palace of Rabat. The Royal speech will be broadcast live inside the Parliament and on radio and television on Friday at 4:00 p.m.
In this respect, His Majesty the King, may God protect him, gave his high instructions to ensure the safety of parliamentarians, in particular through respecting the set of precautionary measures adopted.”
