Education, Culture, and Communication Committee Pursues Discussion of Topics on National Education and Mohammed VI Foundation for the Promotion of Social Works in Education and Training

The Education, Culture, and Communication Committee held a meeting on Wednesday, March 10, 2021, at 10:00 a.m., chaired by Chairperson of the Committee Mohamed Mellal and attended by Minister of National Education, Vocational Training, Higher Education, and Scientific Research and Government Spokesperson and the President of the Mohammed VI Foundation for the Promotion of Social Works in Education and Training. The meeting was devoted to discussing several topics that cover national education and other topics that relate to the Mohammed VI Foundation for the Promotion of Social Works in Education and Training.

The meeting focused on the actual situation and performance of the Mohammed VI Foundation for the Promotion of Social Works in Education and Training and its role in the concerned sector.

Also, the participants tackled several topics that relate to national education, including:

- The implementation of Framework Law 51.17 and the Ministry’s plan and achievements after enforcing this law.

- The pending cases for some groups of workers in the sector with a focus on the process of social services to ameliorate access to the educational system.

- The generalization of the international majors in Moroccan baccalaureate and the impacts of fighting education wastage and generalizing the program “Tayssir.”

At the end of the meeting, the Minister highlighted the importance of implementing Framework Law 51.17 and its execution in preparing the enforcement decrees and the other laws relating to it.

For his part, the President of the Mohammed VI Foundation for the Promotion of Social Works in Education and Training noted the importance of the Foundation and its achievements. He also highlighted the imperative of advancing and modernizing its structure and establishing and renewing its organs, and shed light on its future prospects.
