Delegation of the Moroccan Parliament Takes Part in 23rd Winter Meeting of the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly
A delegation of the National Parliamentary Representation at the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly took part in the proceedings of the 23rd Winter Meeting of the Assembly, held on February 22-23, 2024, in the Hofburg Congress Center in Vienna, Austria.
The delegation comprised Rep. Marouane Chbaatou (Group of the National Rally of Independents) and Cllr. Hind Ghazzali (Group of the National Rally of Independents).
The Meeting featured intensive participation of national parliamentary delegations from all world countries, in addition to experts, diplomatic representatives, and renowned researchers and academics specializing in the questions inscribed in the Session's order of business.
During the two days, the participants discussed several prominent questions of international concern, such as artificial intelligence and its security dimensions and the future of European security.
On this occasion, the Moroccan parliamentary delegation held talks with Pascal Allizard, the Vice-President of the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly and Special Representative on Mediterranean Affairs. During the Meeting, the two parties agreed on the importance of pursuing parliamentary consultation and coordination on questions of mutual concern. The members of the Moroccan delegation also met with their Spanish counterparts.
It should be noted that the participation of the Moroccan parliamentary delegation in the Assembly's proceedings falls under the scope of the status enjoyed by the Parliament of the Kingdom as a Mediterranean partner for cooperation within the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly.
