On the theme "Advocacy for Palestine and Gaza," the sitting falls under the scope of the continuous efforts deployed by the Arab Parliament to defend the Palestinian cause and support the Palestinian people since the start of the atrocious attack against them. It also aims to affirm its constant support to the Palestinian people against the war crimes and offenses against humanity committed by Israel in Palestine and pursue its efforts at all levels and fora to support the Palestinian cause and the rights of the Palestinian people, particularly the right to establish an independent State with Al Quds as capital.
The sitting featured a statement by the Moroccan parliamentary delegation that expressed the concern of the Kingdom of Morocco over the dire situation the Palestinian population lives, particularly in Gaza. Besides, the delegation underscored the keenness of the Kingdom to preserve the rights of Palestinians and find a peaceful and just solution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict in a way that ensures peace and stability in the region.
In the same respect, the delegation reiterated the support of the Kingdom of Morocco to the right of Palestinians to establish an independent State with sovereignty over its territories following the resolutions of the United Nations and the Arab Peace Initiative. They also noted that achieving a political solution goes through serious and direct negotiations between Palestinians and Israelis as the most adequate means to reach peace and stability in the region.
