Meeting of the Infrastructure, Energy, Mines, and Environment Committee, at the request of the Group of Progress and Socialism, the Parliamentary Caucus of Justice and Development, the Group of the National Rally of Independents, and the Haraki Group, with the participation of the Minister of Equipment and Water, on Wednesday, January 24, 2024, at 10:00 a.m., to discuss the following themes:

-         Periodic evaluation of the record of implementing the Emergency Program for Potable Water Provision (Group of Progress and Socialism);

-         Cost of our country’s investments in agriculture and export industries in terms of water (Parliamentary Caucus of Justice and Development);

-         New investment program in the water sector (Socialist Group - Ittihadi Opposition);

-         Proactive measures to address the exceptionally poor weather conditions in several regions (Group of Progress and Socialism);

-         Government measures taken to address the exceptional circumstances in several regions caused by the poor weather conditions (Group of the National Rally of Independents);

-         Water management and the measures taken to address water stress and scarcity (Haraki Group);

-         Status of water stored in dams and the project of water interlinkage between the Sebou and Bouregreg basins (Parliamentary Caucus of Justice and Development);

-         Impacts of the recent rainfall the East Region witnessed in September 2023 on the region’s infrastructure and the means to address its impacts (Parliamentary Caucus of Justice and Development);

-         Constraints facing the water sector and liquid sanitation in the rural world (Haraki Group);

-         Discussion of themes linked to the 2020-2027 National Program for Potable and Irrigation Water Provision (Parliamentary Caucus of Justice and Development);

-         Volume of financial investments allocated to the creation of water desalination plants and the economic, social, and environmental impacts of these projects (Parliamentary Caucus of Justice and Development).
